THE STORY BEHIND
Kjeller Airport was established in 1912, is Norway's oldest airport and one of the world's oldest still in operation. It was originally built as a military airport and has played a central role in Norwegian aviation history.
In 1914, Amundsen took his pilot's license at Kjeller. Driven by his interest in aviation as a possible way to explore the polar regions, now you can finally run at this historic site.
